About Crossroads Abstract
History:
Crossroads Abstract was started in 1990 by
our current chairman and CEO Michael T. McAuley. Using his decades of knowledge in
the title field, years of goodwill with the attorneys in the area, and the most extensive
computerization of an abstract office in upstate New York at that time, Mr. McAuley has
grown Crossroads into the largest independent title service provider in
upstate New York. The acquisition of Finger Lakes Title in 1992, along with their
experienced staff, extended the service area of Crossroads into the
Finger Lakes, where Crossroads now dominates the market.

Michael T. McAuley - Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (E-Mail)
Michael started working in the title industry in 1967 and has held numerous positions throughout
the upstate New York area. He is past President of the New York State Land Title
Association, and was chairman of the Agent's Section of the NYSLTA from 1996 through
2000, and is Chairman of the NYSLTA agents Political Action Committee. Mike was Chairman
of the Rochester chapter of Muscular Dystrophy Association in 1996, sat on the Board of
Governors of the Rochester Area Home Builders Association , and is a member of the CEO
Roundtable Group of the Rochester Chamber of Commerce. He has served on the Executive
Committee of Camp Good Days and Special Times from 1988 to date.
Mike was educated at DeSales High School in Lockport NY, St. Thomas Aquinas Institute, Rochester NY, Niagara University, and Brockport State University.
William Collins - President, Secretary and Regional Manager (E-Mail)
Bill Collins has been working in the title industry for almost 20
years, as an abstractor and title examiner. He has been with Crossroads
since 1992, starting as an examiner, then Title Department Manager, Main Branch Operations
Manager, and now as Regional Manager. Bill is also past chair of the Agents Section of the New York State Land Title Associtation. Questions, problems (or compliments!) about any search or title product issued by any of Crossroads branch offices
may be addressed to him.
A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, and a native of Fairport, Bill's
family includes his wife Sharon and daughters Katie and Emily. He enjoys triathlon
sports (especially bicycling) and Tai Chi.
Todd Heckman - Administrator and Corporate Treasurer (E-Mail)
Todd has worked in the title industry since 1982 and has held
several positions at several companies throughout upstate New York. He started in
this business as an abstract searcher and typist and has
since worked his way through the ranks
to his current positions. Todd joined Crossroads in 1992 to become
Branch Manager of our Ontario County office. Todd's skills in management, organization
and information technologies lead him to work in our Rochester office, in charge of Computer Administration, Human
Resources and as Treasurer. He also served as Treasurer for the NYSLTA
agents Political Action Committee until 2001.
Todd resides in Victor with his wife Lisa, daughter Lindsey and son
Matthew. He enjoys working on computers, playing golf and working in the
yard. Additionally, Todd is a member of Canandaigua Country Club.
Mary Ann Del Vecchio - Customer Service Supervisor (E-Mail)
Mary Ann has been working for Crossroads Abstract since 1993, and is currently Supervisor of the Customer Service Department (formerly the Refinance Department). She supervises and assists customers with Refinance orders, Home Equity Loan orders, and location of abstract requests for Crossroads entire service area. Prior to joining Crossroads Mary Ann worked for almost 5 years in the Foreclosure Department of Phillips, Lytle, Hitchcock, Blaine & Huber as a Legal Assistant.
