New York State Counties And Their Zones
Note: In Zone 1 Counties (most counties in upstate New York) the title
insurance premium does not include a fee for searching. Usually an Abstract of
Title is provided to the buyer by the seller in those counties. In Zone 2 Counties
(counties of New York City, its suburbs, and Albany and its suburbs) the search fee is
included in the title premium, no abstract is provided by the seller, and buyers
routinely purchase a fee (owners) title policy.
